FAQ

Answers before you ask.

How do I invite Mei to my server?

Use the invite link, choose the server you manage, and approve the requested permissions. Mei needs the applications.commands scope so slash commands register correctly.

Commands appear instantly for slash usage. If they do not show up, restart your Discord client — global command propagation can take a few minutes.

What permissions does Mei need?

The invite link requests Administrator for a frictionless setup, but Mei only uses the permissions a feature requires: Manage Channels, Manage Roles, Kick Members, Moderate Members, Manage Messages, Read Message History, Connect and Speak.

If you prefer least privilege, invite Mei without Administrator and grant only the permissions for the systems you enable. Features whose permissions are missing will report the exact gap instead of failing silently.

How do I enable Anti-Nuke protection?

Run /antinuke setup as the server owner and follow the interactive menu. Mei asks for an alert channel, a punishment threshold and a trusted-role list, then starts monitoring immediately.

Add dependable staff with /whitelist <user> so their normal work is not flagged. Keep /panicmode ready — it freezes destructive actions during an active raid and pages the owners.

Is Mei 24/7 music free?

Yes. Playback, filters, queue controls and the 24/7 stay command are included at no cost. There is no premium wall on audio quality or concurrent servers.

Use /stay247 to keep Mei in your channel when the queue empties. Idle sessions in channels with no listeners are cleaned up automatically to keep the Lavalink nodes healthy for everyone.

How can I report a bug or request a feature?

Compose your report with the form below — it copies a ready-to-paste template — then open a ticket in the support server and paste it into #create-a-ticket.

Include the exact command, what you expected, what happened instead, and a screenshot or transcript link if you have one. Feature requests are reviewed weekly and tagged once they enter the roadmap.

Does Mei still support the m! prefix?

Yes. Slash commands are the recommended path, but m! remains available for legacy setups — try m!play or m!help.

A small number of newer systems (panel editing, granular automod thresholds) are slash-only because they rely on menus and modals that a text prefix cannot render.

How do I request deletion of my data?

Open a ticket in the support server with your user ID and, if relevant, the server ID. Removing Mei from a server deletes that server's stored settings and records automatically; individual requests are processed within 30 days.

See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored, what is never stored, and how the deletion process works.

Compose a report

This form does not submit anywhere by itself — it formats your details into a clean ticket template and copies it to your clipboard. Paste it into the support server's ticket channel and a helper will pick it up.
